    Pastor JR is a graduate of Atlanta Christian College (Point University). His wife, Heather, served in the Navy. They were married July 9, 2011 after only knowing each other 4 months! But since that time, they have served one another and the church in their own callings. JR is a die-hard Ohio State football fan and loves watching minor league baseball! He is passionate about the Word of God, teaching, and preaching. Having not been raised in a Christian home he is naturally a skeptic and continues to challenge his faith for the purpose of becoming more rooted. He loves apologetics (the defending of the Christian faith) and enjoys speaking to those who have genuine questions about the Bible, Jesus, and the Christian life. He is very extroverted and knows no stranger.

    Ross has been the worship minister at FCC since 2017 after he graduated from Johnson University with a degree in Worship Ministry. He and his wife Rachel are passionate about discipleship and seeing God's kingdom extended here in Morristown. Ross enjoys hiking and playing disc golf with whoever will join him.

    Kelly is honored to serve First Christian Church as Children's Minister. Kelly gave her heart to Jesus as a child. Growing up in the church and in a Christian family, she has many years' experience as both a  student and a leader in ministry. She has over 20 years in both volunteer leadership and full-time staff leadership in children's ministry. She is passionate for children to come to know and love Jesus as their Savior. It is her desire to lead kids in a Bible-based, kid-centered ministry where they dive into the Bible, ask questions, build friendships, and learn to share their faith. Kelly and her husband, Mike, have three grown children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters (twins!) Kelly enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, playing flute, playing with kids, and playing with her dogs.

    JD is our youth minister. He is also a student at Johnson University and believes in following where God leads him. We are pleased that God has led him to us! 

  • Dawn Bugher                                                                          Email

    Dawn works part-time as the church Office Manager and loves that her job allows time for being with family, quilting, gardening, music, and various hands-on projects. Bill, her husband, works as an airplane mechanic and in his off time enjoys woodworking, RC planes, and tinkering around the house. They have three children who have all "flown the coop". On Sundays, you will often find Dawn playing flute and Bill sitting at the sound board making sure she's not too loud.
